Veneers
Dental veneers are a thin layer of porcelain custom made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail.
After minimal preparation of the tooth/teeth an impression is taken of your mouth and sent to our laboratory. Here it is precision made to give the shape and colour you desire. In the surgery it is then bonded to your natural tooth surface.
Long-term benefits of veneers include:
Improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth
A precise shade of porcelain can be chosen to give the right colour to improve a single discoloured tooth or to lighten your front teeth
Can make a chipped tooth look whole again. The porcelain covers the whole of the front of the tooth, with a thicker section replacing the broken part

What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Dental Veneers are thin shells of porcelain which are carefully bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They are an ideal solution to bring back a perfect smile for teeth that are severely discoloured, chipped or become out of shape.
Using only the highest standard of materials (Lava, Empress, E-Max, Da Vinci, Lumineers and Procera Veneers) which make them appear completely natural.
What is The Procedure?
Porcelain veneer treatments are carefully tailored to your exact requirements.
During your first appointment, we take an impression or mould of your teeth to enable us to create a dental diagnostic wax-up model. Before starting any dental work, we will use this model to demonstrate to you how your teeth and smile will look.
At your next appointment, we are then ready to start the work. We will first begin by minimally preparing your teeth to the ideal shape in preparation. An impression or mould is then taken of your prepared teeth. You will wear handcrafted temporary veneers, while your permanent ones are being created.
We will then send your moulds along with the shade of your teeth to our laboratory technician for your veneers to be crafted.
You can “trial” your new smile and get an idea just how your new teeth will both look and feel. This then allows us to make any adjustments to your final veneers.
At the following appointment, we gently remove the temporary veneers and your new beautifully made porcelain veneers are then bonded with special dental cement. Finally, we check the fit and see how you bite to ensure the perfect and desired fit.
After The Treatment
You may find yourself aware of your new veneers for the first few days, this is completely normal though, and you will soon get used to them, usually after only a few days.
Your new porcelain veneer makeover will look completely natural and blend in well with your natural teeth.
How Long Will They Last?
On average your veneers will last from 10 to 15 years or more. However, it does also depend on you and how well you look after them, your other teeth and gums.
Regular dental check ups and visits with our hygienist are highly advised and will go a long way in helping the lifespan of your veneers.
